On my 94 all I had to do is hook up the new instrument cluster and the tach worked just fine. Once I was sure it was going to work then I took it all apart and cleaned it up real nice. The connections were exactly the same as the donor vehicle that I got the new cluster out of. If you look at the back side of the cluster you will see that the floppy circuit is wired different, but it works, and only uses the two connections on the wiring harness. There were no additional wires that had to be added when I did mine. But like I said, mine is a 94 and I got my cluster out of a 94. Hope this helps some.....
yep, direct swap, if you take the clear part off then pry out the outer gage panels (I used a butter knife) you can swap to your original speedo/odometer to keep the mileage the same. Many years ago I did a writeup on mine, but I think it was just on my website and the hard drive I had it on is now gone...
what you need to keep in mind is the clusters changed mid year '92, so there's a chance it won't work, if it doesn't work it's wrong , it will either be '89-mid '92 or mid '92-94, you can tell by the color of the circuit on the back but I don't remember what mine is...
