What all do you have to do to swap the bed it's a 6'?

Remove 3 small bolts around the gas filler (open the filler "door" and take 'em out).

Unplug electrical connectors for the taillights (or remove the taillights).

Remove 6 bed bolts, T-55 Torx IIRC. Depending on how rust is where you live they may or may not come out easily. I snapped 2-3 of mine on an 89 using a breaker bar and 3' cheater pipe. The rest came out after much work and lots of penetrating oil (crawl under the truck an soak 'em down for a day or two before you get started if possible).

Lift off.
