Are the splines the same from front to rear output shafts on the transfer case. I would like to use the front driveline from a explorer in the rear of my bronco II. All the drive train is from the explorer.

Um, what splines? There aren't splines on either drive shaft for that transfer case.

There are on the front IF he has a front slip-yoke output. It should have a flange on the rear even then though. Search the site a little. I know somewhere on here I seen an explanation of how to do exactly what you want to do. As for myself, I just cut down an Explorer rear shaft, stronger that way if you ask me. The steps for doing that are somewhere on here as well.

Yeah, but we are talking about a 92 Explorer, so it shouldn't have the slip-yoke output. It should have a double-cardan front shaft.

I think he wants to swap the rear output flange for a yoke from the front.
Yes, they can be swapped (both front & rear are 26 splines).

I agree adsm08 but ya never know what has been swapped in before he got and that is the reason I said that. Junkie thnks for letting us know that. I simply wasn't sure bout that.

Hey, THAT makes a lot more sense than what I was scratching my head over. Never though about swapping the split pin yoke for a circular one.
