Just bought my 1st ranger Fri. its a 4 cyl. 5 spd. 92 drove it 200 miles home and down shifting pulling on to my street the clutch pedal locked up. Its not on the floor its all the way up, it just wont budge. The guy I bought it from just replaced tranny and clutch. Any hints out there?

First guess is that the slave quick disconnect fitting wasn't fully seated.

Left side of the trans housing, you'll see the hard plastic line going in with that fitting.

Push it HARD!

IDK,maybe the slave cylinder or pressure plate or the fork that slides into the throw out bearing.sounds like you may have to pull the tranny, but i would drain all the fluid from the reservor and slave cylinder 1st,and replace the fluid and bleed it if possible.good luck, hope its something simple

Earl, you were right, except the thing popped out of the clip. +The plastic fitting connected to the tranny is a little loose, maybe thats why it came apart?. Looks like my ranger and me are gonna get to know each other pretty quick
