I have to remove the trans for a seal leak. I had a exh. flange bolt break on each side. I am afraid to remove the manifolds for fear of those bolts breaking in the heads. Has anyone ever tried the Nickson Exh manifold stud clamp repair kits? It could save alot of time and money by not haveing to remove the heads also. Thanks for your time

couldn't you just cut the bolt flush with the flange and drill it out and just replace it with a nut and bolt?

Yes, simplest solution.

I will probably give drilling and tapping a try before manifold removel as there is a little more room with the trans out, I had already tried heating with no luck.
