91 Super cab 4.0 muffler

the truck is also 4x4. The tail pipe broke off the muffler, no big deal. Its all stock, and is too quiet for me. I want to put on a cherry bomb and my local auto parts store does sell them. I was wondering what ID or OD i need to get when i pick up the cherry bomb. Thanks guys. jdk

You can grab a small square and set it up against the tube. Look at the number where it touches the tube and then double it. That is your OD. ID would be approximately 1/8" smaller.

Also, if you get a glass-pack pour a little kerosene or diesel fuel in it and roll it around for a bit.

It alters the properties of the fiberglass packing and gives it a deeper tone once it breaks in.
