'91 Ranger STX Column Replacement

Hello, I have a '91 Ranger STX. It has a tilt column with cruise control buttons on the steering wheel. I need a new column, because when I got the truck the column had been broken around the ignition. It starts with a screwdriver, and I'm tired of it. None of the junkyards around my house have a Ranger that has a column with the cruise buttons on it. However, they do have an Explorer that's the same year and has a column that looks identical to mine. Are they interchangeable?

I had a 92 ex and a 93 ranger out on the ground side by side for my bronco couldn't tell them apart.Went with the ranger one because it didn't have a broken key stuck in it.

I installed a late '80's/ early '90's Ranger tilt/cruise column into an '86 f-150. It was a race truck so I couldn't say about wiring or fitment to dash.
