91 Ranger bodied 5.3 ls swap

Crawl under there with a tape measure and see how much space you have behind the tires now. If you know what your current backspacing is (around 4"?) Add an inch or two and see if it would hit anything. Chances are the springs are the only thing close and I bet you have the clearance there. Or get some 1" or 1.5" foam sheet and hold it up against the back of the tire and see how close it is to everything.
yea I think that im good on the inside im concerned about the outside of wheel hitting edge of inner fender well. ill do it tomorrow. thanks

You might be able to use one of those fender roller things to roll the inner edge of the fender up and maybe even give the fender a little extra bulge if needed.

yea man I am just trying to pack as much meat under the rear as I can, this things not gonna like sticking to the pavement as it is haha

Looks like a cool build, and you're certainly moving along pretty quickly on it!

nice job on this!! loving the 5.3 swap !!

I feel like this needs a drop top

good push tonight, got the frame sprayed. pics show glossy finish but its actually a matte black when dry. now its time to reassemble and get motor and trans bolted in and start plumbing brake lines and air ride lines.

that dash is an ass kicker. really appreciate the work here.

great work.

i am an ls nutswinger........so no hate for the powertrain. a wee bit easier to work with then the cammer fords.

but...like jim said...do what you want. its yours. i like all of the v8 engines in current forms...nissan-toy and the big 2 and a fiat...syler..

the suspension is a bit surprising....would not have expected you to keep the beams. so its a ranger at least...for now...

yea man the dash was fun, the beams I kept because everyone told me I couldn't lay it out on beams so I decided to keep em and show that I could. big body drop is not gonna be comfy, but who cares. my next build will be a full frame build. all modern creature comforts. this one is going to be bare bones head scratcher. thanks for the love man

you kept the beams just to dickwave.....????

thats some hero shit.....

doors primed, front and rear shocks installed tonight.
