91 ext cab 4x4 2 pc Driveshaft to 1pc?

I've heard you can swap my 2 pc d.s. with a 1 pc . What year model ranger should it come from? (ext cab, 4x4, 4.0)

IF your truck is a 5sp it must come from a 1998-up 5sp supercab.

I'm not sure you can do it if you have an automatic, because the
A4LD uses a longer driveshaft than the 4R44E, 4R55E & 5R55E transmissions

I've got a shaft off of a 1998-up 2wd auto (3.0 4R44E) supercab and
it does not fit EITHER of the earlier trucks (1997 3.0 A4LD and a 1995 3.0 5sp)
we tried to put it into.

just a thought, i have a 90 ranger reg cab long bed 5spd w/ a one piece driveshaft but have no idea if the wheelbase is the same for the supercab.
