If you leave the rear as spring-under, your poor little B2 is going to be dragging its butt like a dog with worms.

Bronco II wheelbases are shorter than ANYTHING else.

its a weekend street strip truck i just want it to sit level puttin a mild 302 in it now , so they can be left alone if it gos over the springs

Umm, might want to think twice about this.

You're going to have a BAD problem with negative camber up front. It's going to SUCK at the strip if you can't steer it.

That's assuming the 302 is actually heavy enough to sag the springs by the amount you need.

Mounting it spring under is going to lower it a good 5", the axle will be up against the frame. The perches do need to be moved (the BII perch spacing is slightly wider anyway).

The 302 is not incredibly heavier than the V6 though (maybe 100-150lbs). You could use a few washers as shims under the front coils to bring it back up a bit (or swap Supercab Ranger coils in there).

Yeah... I gained 1/4" of height in the front when I swapped my 302 in over the 2.8L...

If you put that 8.8 sprung under, it's gonna have the stance of a tail draggin lead sled.
