91 4.0L Overheating Problems!

Hello, I just replaced the water pump,thermostat and hoses on my 91 4.0L and the sucker is still overheating, It seems like the coolant isnt being pumped into the block? When I installed the water pump I didnt use a torque wrench to torque all the bolts I just tightened them all with a ratchet. I have no idea why its still overheating? The coolant keeps boiling over. Its a brand new water pump.. Please help!!

What kind of condition is the radiator in?(clogged, bent fins, ect.) Is the shroud intact? Fan running properly?

clogged block/radiator, bad radiator cap, bad fan clutch, airflow blockage, stuck thermostat (ive had to buy 3 in a row before just to get 1 good one).

Well I replaced the thermostat last year, then my water pump went to shit, so I installed a new pump the other day with new hoses and I replaced the thermostat again today. The rad has alotta bent fins, the truck looks like it has an electrical fan in it cus theres wires running off it. I did a rad flush using prestone rad flush fluid. The rad cap was new about 2 years ago. Does it really matter about the torque specs in the manual? Because I just tightened all the bolts and the water pump pulley nut as much as I could with a ratchet.

if you have an electric fan the switch has probably gone bad. cheap fix would be wire it to direct power switched with a fuse on the power wire

haha yea i have the fan wired rite to my ignition it works everytime the keyy is turned and it stays on

i would say that your radiator is plugged also then

well I think my problem is worse then a plugged rad. I noticed that theres a buncha smoke comn by the exhaust on the drivers side and it really smells. The rad fluid is also very foamy/bubbly I think the the block or head is warped or cracked or the head gasket is screwed.. Ne ideas? I think the cooland is leaking into the combustion chamber thats why there is a smoke comn from the exhaust

Yup, that sounds like a likely head crack. Confirm with a leakdown test.
