91 4.0 4X4 for sale

Wow sorry I totally posted this in the wrong spot

hey everybody, I am lookin to buy a 91 Ranger that is for sale locally, it is a regular cab, long box, with a 4.0 and an automatic behind it, I don't really know a whole lot about the 4.0's or the automatics that were put in rangers, any thoughts or concerns, or things to look at on the truck will be greatly appreciated, thanks

any idea how many miles are on it?? 4.0l is a good motor, but like any motor has some issuse when it gets the miles on it.

as for the auto, cant help you at all there

i had a 91 4.0 and the m5od behind it...i got 225,xxx miles out of it with very little trouble...but it was also a 'street queen'....sort of...i learned that 2wd with an open diff wasnt very good in the woods very quickly lol

I had a 2WD 4.0 / Auto and it was awesome. I beat on it daily with no problems.

had a 91 with a 4.0 and an auto A4ld and beat on it like crazy....but my brother used it to pull a boat that was way to big for my poor little truck and overdrive went out of it.
