89 turbo diesel

Hi all, I am new to this site and thought I would tell you all about my rig. I purchased a 4cyl 5spd s/c with a blown motor and went about swapping in a 2.2 Kubota diesel that came out of a semi trailer reefer unit. I fabbed up an adapter to the 5spd and fitted it with a turbo. With a little mods to the injection pump it drives like any other rig. I have logged over 6000mi so far trouble free, it's my DD and see high 30's city and low 40's freeway. I tired to load some pix, no dice, it does exist!

Hey thanks! I did post some pix on the thread with the s-10, he and I have done alot of r&d with these motors. I had no issue loading pix on that site, but can't seem to do it here.

i cant wait til you figure it out...

i really liked the approach you used. just not enough power for me.
