whats up i got a 89 ranger stock running gear 4x4 lifted 4inches sitting on 35/12.5/15, i wanna do a sas and need some advice/help, iv heard to go with a dana 30 been told it will bolt right into place of the stock dana28. if thats false let me know what i need to do and what parts i need to make that sucker bolt in!

Its false, a Dana 35 TTB will bolt in the place of your Dana 28. Which the 35 is significantly stronger than your 28 but not a SAS.

There are a lot of good threads on here about the Dana 30 SAS swap, TNT is one of my favorites; go check it out.

The Dana35 TTB from an Explorer has many parts in common with a Dana44 (and places much closer to the D44's strength than a D30's). It does bolt right in place of the D28 since you already have a lift on it (without a lift the driveshaft would need shortened 1 inch).

If you absolutely have to have a solid axle, then a D44 is the way to go on a Ranger IMO. No solid axle is 100% "bolt-in", though there are enough parts out there you can get it to be fairly close to it.

Search will be your friend here... Lots of previous discussion about it.
