That depends on your fabrication skills and how much your willing to spend, how much lift, and primary use.
First your going to need control arms something that is adjustable would be the easiest to adjust and align. Coil springs or leafs? coils would be easier because it is already setup for it.
I suggest using XJ coils for a B2, they have a softer spring rate. that is what i am going to switch to this spring.
the best thing for you to do is research, that's what i did. took a year looking at what other people on here and other forums.
look back through my build thread, most of the swap is in the first few pages.

Yeah I've got a lot of it pulled out with the details and stuff listed. Plus I'm looking at dangerrangers build. And then roussinoffroad gave me some
Info.
I am going with xj coils probably. Frabication ain't a problem.. The problem falls in where the b2 is my DD.

My Ranger was my DD too, but thankfully I was able to use my parents van until I got the swap done. Only took a 3 weeks to do the front and a few days to do th rear. That was spending 5 or so hours a day of almost non stop working on it too.

The long arms that escort and I used are worth every penny to me and I have no complaints about them.

yes the iron man long arms are well worth more than what we paid. I drive mine everyday and only problem i have with it is the 2.3 just cant turn the tires anymore. Also i am getting tired of the bronco coils, a little to stiff.

I just gotta find some side jobs. Seeing all these d30 builds are making me jealous. I'll have the 4.0 to turn tires and 4.56's in the axles. I thinking can turn em lol. Thank for all the help guys.

I have a TK5 in right now and want to put the M50 (that I rebuilt and converted to 4wd) in.

More details on converting the 2wd 2.3 trans to 4wd. What Tcase you use?You are doin the samething im planning on doin. 2.3 2wd ext cab ranger.

The m50d is easy to convert to 4wd. You will need a 2.9L or 3.0L donor transmission that is already setup for 4wd or buy the parts off TRS like I did. You will have to swap the mainshaft and tailhousing since they are different between the two.

Transfer case is a m1350 with a fixed front yoke. Not my first choice but I couldn't find a m1354 for less than $450 around here.

Cool, thanks man. How did the little 2.3 do with the 35 and 4.56's?

it was ok untill the motor took a crap. It was way under powered. Couldn't use 5th gear at all. In mud i had to keep it in low range just to keep the tires spinning.
It needed 33's with the 4.56 to run good

Did you upgrade the steering box or still running the Ranger unit?It looks like the Ranger unit in the pics.Didn't remember reading or seeing anything about it.

yeah, its the ranger box. Might have to get a new one soon. It's leaking

Are you considering any other steering boxes or just gonna stick with the Ranger box.My 01 has the coil spring front end with A arms and rack and pinion steering.I am considering the pre 98 Ranger Box,F100/150,and F250 4x4 solid axle steering box.
