The Junkyrad that I go to has a few exploders in it and both of them were driven there. If I wanted to get the whole thing, its $800 and I can sell the scrap right back to them too. Good thing is I dont need to take the vehicle home, just leave it there take what I want after buying it. But for the tranny/engine combo its $500 and thats the 4.0 under the hood. I have the number of the place if interested (and another one too but they may charge more).

Ya I wouldnt want to tow that. I didnt see how much they watned for it though, just a bid to buy it.

Right now Im trying to find a ranger thats 4wd, 4.0 extended cab manual tranny (good luck on the tranny part) and a gen 3 (pre98) for around 4 grand or so. Do payments through a bank or somewhere that does loans or buy here pay here. Craigslist turned up nothing good. But need to get all my tax check in which will be at the begining of March so looking right now may not be the best thing at the moment. But if I can find a 98 or so in that price range with the stuff I want then I may do that too.

hey escort would you recomend changing the 2.3 when doing the d 30 swap or will it do fine with 4.10s? becausse i have a 94 standard cab short box ranger with a 5 speed and im pretty set on doing the dana 30 swap and im just worried the 2.3 wont put up the demand. thanks

Its not the engine size, its the gearing and tire sizes that have to be addressed.
