89 ranger truck was starting to kinda choke when getting on throttle started to get worse so parked the truck replaced fuel filter and went to start it and wouldnt start and couldnt hear fuel pump so i bought a new fuel pump and replaced fuel pump reley and im getting some voltage to the pump when i turn the key 3/4 of the way but still wont kick fuel pump on it doesnt make a sound.
can anyone help this truck is how i make a living thank u

How much voltage are you getting to the pump, and what condition are your wires and connectors in?

As a side note, why does no one ever think about checking the wires and connectors? No matter how good your parts are, they won't work if the wires aren't good.

On MOST of these setups, you get 12 volts through one side of the relay for about 2 seconds - the if the truck is running (and only if the truck is running) you should get 6.5 volts to run the pump steady. The computer does this.
That said, check the wires at the relay but don't forget to check all your grounds - that's a very common problem. All the power you want but no ground, nothing happens
