89 ranger 2.9 to sohc 4.0

Would a sohc 4.0 fit with the 2.9 tranny in a 89 ranger 4x4 ect cab?

He did it in a first gen I think... But it'd be similar I'd think.

There is another thread right now about 87-- 4.0 sohc swap but he's just asking questions. He ain't done it yet.

Alright well if i need pretty much everything then ill jus pass on that swap. Cause id like to use the same tranny that ive just rebuilt. And fuel pump. But the 4.0 in my year ranger is the ideal swap? Easiest i mean?
