It has been a while since I have posted.
Here we go.
I got the 4.0 in!!!!!
The wiring harness from a manual explorer to a auto ranger proved harder than I thought, but at 3 in the morning my brother and I finished it.
We got that done. It is in my truck now, and it runs like a top!!
However, it did not come without trouble... when we got the wiring harness back into the truck the only way I could get the interior lights and my cd player to turn on was if i had the truck in reverse haha It turned out it was just one wire that the explorer had that my ranger did not lol. I just snipped it at everything went back to normal

no pictures of the motor in yet.
Then I got this. My brother and I are both moving on to 3/4 ton running gear.
It is a 79 ford dana 60 HD full float.
I am narrowing it 5" to match the front. I am going a full spool, 35 spline axle shafts, and 5.13 to match the front.
So I cut the spindles off and then.....
I have the gears, master install kit, cut to fit 35 spline axle shafts, full spool, and ring and pinion waiting for me at home..... However, nursing school has been time consuming, and I have not gotten to make it home...
I do have a picture of the axle shafts though.
Hopefully I will be able to make it home soon.
I also have some 38" waiting for me at home too
One more thing I have been working on. Just a little sneak peak
