swap is in a 89 b2 from a doner 94 explorer eddie auto but........ im stuck with the swap im, in the process doing for some one. i have a camshaft sensor plug on the back side of the upper man. and no camshaft sensor???? right now i have power to my ecm to my ignighter box (next to pass headlight), but no spark or injector pulse all my grounds are good, nss is plugged in and no ecm codes present but know for a fact that the ecm is getting power and putting power out to my relays in the new dis box. fuel pump kits on and got fuel to rail but as i said no spark or injector pulse please help

I used a 94 ranger, and transfered everything over. Did you do any splicing?

I had a problem for almost 3 months. I finally figured out one connector wasn't fully seated. I had taped over the connector so ASSumed that it was good. I did learn a lot about the electrical system though, so it wasn't a total loss.

the first attachment i am uploading shows a red/w wire coming out of pin 9 from ecm harness and should goto pin 1 on round harness hh plug on drivers firewall (x 4.0 hh harness) on the 89 b2 its a different wire that is in pin 1 on hh firewall harness. what would the red/w wire be used for? could that control the spark and injector pulse?

the second pic is showing the O2 sensor harness's and what would be for the camshaft sensor that my doner 4.0 does not have in it at all. why would it have a plug for a sensor that is not there at all? i found one in local yard that didnt have the plug but it was for a manual, but the main plug and play harness's are different.

update.... with my beautiful g/f's help i had her hold the key in the start/crank position while i jump the starter we got it to run but once she let go of the key it would stall out any ideas on what it now could be

sounds like a crank run issue.

did you try to wire the two systems together or stand alone the 94 setup?
