Im having issue with every gauge but speedo. the RPM says 5000 RPM when idling and temp gauge is maxed, all other are messed up. Could a bad ground be the problem?

Yes.
Something is grounding out behind the dash more then likely. Or the voltage regulator for the gauges took a shit.
Not sure if the regulator would affect the tach though.

The truck was frame off re built using a 500$ 89 ranger super cab 4x4, all wiring harnesses, modules, dash, etc were from 89- 92 rangers. ECM is brand new. Truck starts and runs great but gauges are all screwy. Haven't driven truck and won't for another few months.
