89 2wd to 4wd

I have an 89 ranger 2.3L and i am wanting to know what all i need to get to convert it to 4wd, and where the best place to get a 6in lift once it is 4wd. anybody know??

you will need to get a complete donor 4wd truck.....that way you can swap the engine crossmember......the 4wd and 2wd engine crossmember's are competely different.....

so if that is the case can i also upgrade it to the 6cyl with ease or do i have to do mods anything helps thank you

you will have to modify the wiring, transmission crossmember, etc.....

with the amount of work id just get a v6 4x4 ranger and keep the 4banger for gasmileage

+1 to that. With the time and money you will spend to convert your truck you might as well just buy one already with 4wd already on it.
