i have a 89 ext cab 2.9 V6 2wd. It has a bad vibration at 55mph. I think its the driveshaft. I have called around and shops are telling me a 1pc wont fit. Has anyone tried this on a 89 and if so what driveshaft did you use

Ok, if you go get a 1-piece shaft from a 98+ truck that has the same body and drive train options as yours.... so extended cab 2wd (trans is immaterial) it will work.

You will need to take the carrier bearing support out, but otherwise it should be bolt in.

It should answer any more questions you might have.
