89 2.3 & 92 3.0

I have an 89 with a 2.3 manual, I've found someone selling a 92 with a 3.0 manual. I'm considering buying but unsure if worth it. How is it throwing a 3.0 in? Are a lot of the parts the same? Alternator, AC compressor, power steering, etc. Would I be able to take everything off my 2.3 and put it on the 3.0? I'm kind of leaning on waiting for a 2.3 but I'm worried it won't happen. Thoughts?

What is wrong with the 92? You can go to rockauto and pretend to buy parts for one, and then the other to see if they are the same part number.

Not sure, seller claims electrical issues. I plan to strip it and have extras even the frame. Unsure what I'd do with the cab tho.

Didn't know if it would be easier to get it going. You never know, you may swap this electrical issue into your truck.

That's true too, didn't think about that. The 92 looks Frankenstein'd on the outside, seller claims interior is 7/10 which is what I want most but would like to have an extra engine and transmission to play around with. A gas tank too, mine was leaking and I've plastic welded the hole, I've put 5 gallons via a tank but haven't put gas in it through a pump. I haven't seen the interior or engine but I was thinking if I can get him to come down to $500 it might be worth getting it.
