I got a 88 ranger 4x4 extended cab with dual gas tanks i started fixing up, im having health problems now and have lost interest in it, ive had everything replaced underneath, everthing on the suspension is new, i mean everything, you name it ,its brand new! from tires and wheels to all suspension parts, hubs, u joints, shocks, springs evrything. the engine and transmission have not been touched, runs great, 128,000 original miles. the whole truck is sprayed with Raptor. i also have acamper shell for it. interior is decent could use some carpet and dash. my question is where should i try to sell it and how much could i expect realistically to get for it? help me out here!!

1988 with extended cab, dual tanks and a 4x4 would be in the rarish category because of the dual tanks
Assume 2.9l V6
Transfer case manual or electric?

Most of the Ranger Forums have a buy and sell section, you will need to post pictures, exterior and interior

Ours is here: https://www.therangerstation.com/forums/index.php?forums/vehicles-for-sale-by-owner.170/

Have a look at asking prices for similar vehicles, in ours and at other sites to see if you can get an idea of asking price
I have no idea what to ask

I'd be most tempted to do an Ebay auction, do it 10 day start on a friday and end on a sunday evening, that way you get two weekends. ALWAYS do a prelisting, have it set up at least 24 hours before it starts and do NOT touch it again before it has begun (you still can make adjustments after it starts but if you mess with it in the 24 to 48 hours prior to start it may not actually post at the set time, so save any afterthoughts till after it is up and running and make adjustments then, you have quite some time before adjustments are restricted.

It has no doubt changed extensively since I used it but I was a power seller there for quite some time

I would also set a minimum acceptable price so you don’t end up getting it sold for $50. I believe it is called a reserve.

I actually found those to be inhibiting, because a price has been pre-set into the item.
However, something I did numerous times was the laptop for $0.99, who cared if it was an Apple with a full Mac OS on it, courtesy of NASA, .99!

What this does is frees up infinity, there are no lines drawn anywhere. What that does is gets more interest and opening bids. who cares if it gets 10,15, or more bids and it hasn't even reached 5 bucks, and still 9 days to go. It now has 10 or 15 "owners", "that's MY laptop".even on the last day it may not be passed $100, but the only thing that matters is that final second. I have watched them take off like a rocket and get to the point I had to get up and walk outside.

The next best option is Facebook, set a price and take some calls. I bought the Explorer like that, even talked them down a hundred before going. Paid a man $200 to haul it to the house, and after it all gave them the $100 due to it being all they said and more? no, because they were a young couple with a new baby and I just felt like it
