was driving my truck the last couple weeks and it was running ok. One day a week ago while driving up the highway up he mountain it bogged out and died.
I tried starting it up and nothing happened, no turn over nothing. Competely dead then after about 15 minutes wait it fired right up: so I changed the fuel filter and it was better but sometimes boggin out while driving but if I accelerated it would go away. Was starting to happen more frequently. Yesterday was driving and it did it a lttle bit but was. Able to drivenaround alright
Now this morning while trying to turnit on the windsheild wipers came on and got a few clicks but second try get nothing, no turnover no clicks no power nothing. Hooked it up to battery on other car but got nothing(didn't start other car though). Try waited but still nothing. Anny suggestions?

check ground connections!!
clean battery connections.

your battery might be toast.

Just to clearify....you tried to jump start it with another battery or swapped the one from the truck to see if it would start another car??

ALSO... the wipers took off on their own when you tried to start it or did you accidentally hit the switch???

OR, the solenoid maybe shot...(what the positive cable goes to after the battery)

mmm.

yeah the wipers were already on
i tryed jumping it with cables from my battery to another car.
battery connections are in really good condition..
dont know about other connections but should i just invest in an ignition modual
(TFI) ?

i agree with imenriched, the solenoid could be shot.

are you getting any lights on the dash or is the battery completely dead?

your battery may not have the cold cranking amps to turn over anymore. how olds the battery? if your battery is newish id suspect the voltage regulator or alternator.

but this doesnt explain why it cut out on you going uphill. it could be the ignition module but see what others have to say on this. it sounds like the classic bad ignition symptoms: cut out when hot, sits a while, then able to start again.

If your headlights work, remove the lower cover on the steering column and check the wiring connector to the ignition switch. The locking tabs of the connector can break and allow the connector to become partially unplugged and cause strange problems. If it is loose, tye-wrap it.

If your headlights don't work, replace your battery cables. Or test them if you have the knowledge & voltmeter.

TFI stands for Thick Film Intergrated ignition module

If you try and start the truck and you're only getting fast clicks, definitely sounds like a poor connection or your battery is simply shot. Given the symptoms, go over the grounds and make sure they're clean. You can have a brand new ground wire on a dirty or painted engine that gets a poor connection.

I would start at the starter solenoid. You can use a test light to verify ignition switch operation from within the cab. Might be worth while to have the battery tested so at least you know that's good.

IMO, sounds like you have more than one problem.

K new battery , turn the keys and get headlights, dashlights ECt. Then one click and power gone. Tryed this a few times but had to wait a couple minutes cuz would try to turn the keys and nothing no lights ect. It started right up one of the times I think from holding down the brake? But wont start the few times i tryed after that. I noticed while driving the brake has been really tight and effects the idle...hummmm

k

k so now... old battery back in, cleaned wires that connect to the battery, checked for loose wires & spark plugs and also put in new air filter. BOOM started right up!!
HOWEVER...its still boggin while driving after goin uphill for a few miles or 30+ mile trips starts to bog... if i force the acceleration it seems to pull through the boggin, but shit somethins wrong

cat pluged on the exhuast??
IS the alternater putting out correct voltage???

might have a vacuum leak

have you tried to get the codes?

+1 on pulling codes

Does it run OK cold, then start acting up once the engine gets warm?

hummm

cat plugged exast? whats that?
it starts to bog out randomly but if i accelerate more it pulls through and runs good.
need to check all wiring and pressures yeah?
