88 ranger trouble starting

To start the truck I need to turn the ignition switch on/off several times before starting the truck. Seems to be losing fuel pressure? Any ideals what the problem may be?

If you are having fuel pressure bleed down issues the problem is usually in the check valve. In your case the valve is part of that little fuel canister/module/thingy right next to the transfer case.
