it depends on what you want... i started off with an auto, then graduated to a manual when my wants changed, the good thing is, since mine was already a manual vehicle (like yours) and i left the clutch parts in place when i had the auto, it simplified the manual installation. i now have a 5.0 with a NP 435 and was able to do it ALL with j/y parts! i used my stock clutch master cyl and res., and the hose, external slave and everything else from the donor vehicle.
It can go any of a few dozen ways. It all depends your wants, need abilities and most of all how much cash you want to throw at it. Best rule of thumb; fast, cheap and reliable....pick two of the three.
