88 ranger gettin fullwidths

ok thanks alot guys, and im having 6" of lift and yea coils, so im going to get a 6" drop pitman arm, will the d44 drag link hook up to the ranger aftermarket pitman arm?
thanks

You don't need a 6" drop pitman arm..

UPDATE:

i got the steering stabilizer unhooked, the pitman arm unhooked, and the shocks unhooked, coils are next, and the worse thing is the trans crossmember is attached to the rad arm brackets, so i guess i gotta support the trans with a jack to get all that off?

a stock pitman arm will work fine. Just make sure when you're making your trac-bar mounts, that the trac-bar is the same angle as the steering drag-link.

so now the pitman arm is unhooked, swaybar is unhooked, shocks are unhooked, coil springs are out, but the damn trac bar wont budge, i got the right size wrench and stock another wrench on the end of it and it wont budge untill i put all my might in it and that only slides the wrench off the nut, i heated it up same thing, so im gonna cut off the trac bar mount on wednesday, cause i gotta work tomorrow, then all will be left in will be the rad arm brackets and then she should be ready to pop out, then im taking the ranger apart, yay :D

:worthless:
cmon you pic whore put out! haha lovin the build dude really cool you got hooked up with that bronco. im jealous for sure

my camera is down so ill try to confiscate my moms camera

also today i heard about a ranger for sale from a guy i work with at the garage, he gave me a number, dude said its an 84 and i asked if it was carbd or efi and he said efi so i said its either 86-88 and he said 86, shes a 5 speed, and the previous owner switch the manual tcase to auto, so ill put my manual one in it, and all she needs is a windshield to be made road legal.

originaly i just called him for the transmission, and then he said if i was really interested $100 would take her whole, so i gues then ill just put the D44 and 9" in this one, shes also an extended cab. so im going tomorrow to have a glance at her

Boggin, not to put you down bud, but I coudlnt get a part off my truck and keep in mind Im 29 and been working on my trucks since I was 16, $ montsh ago I was doing the trannsmission and I pulled like you said wiht no results. I was pulin the wrong way. Double check before you start cutting stuff.

You shouldn't have to support the trans, there are two more bolts in the trans crossmember that go through the top of the frame. Just check that they are still there if so then they will support the trans fine no jack is needed
