can anyone tell me where i can find a wiring diagram for an 88 ranger with 2.9 i have the hayes manual but it isn't that great ive got major electrical problems and need a full diagram my email is nrthski87@yahoo.com or message me on here any helps appreciated

My chilton has pretty good wiring diagrams have you tried the bone yard they usually have a pile on repair manuals for cheap here is a pic it is the best way I could find without losing definition I hope this is what you need

yea thats it but i dot see the fuel pump on there

From the fuel pump relay it goes to the inertia switch on the passenger floorboard to the fuel pump/pumps. Are you having trouble with the fuel pump power.

you could say that its a dual tank truvk no power going back to the pumps not one of them ive tried everything i could think of but electricals not my thing im eady to give up on it is there a common thing on these trucks?

Pretty much sounds like the inertia switch or the black wire that connects to your neg terminal.

The inertia switch can be bypassed with a short piece of wire by unplugging the clip and inserting a wire into the plug. If you do this and the pumps come on, the inertia switch needs to be replaced.

The little black wire that goes to your neg terminal has to make connection too, or you wont get your pumps to come on. The black wire (usually) has a fuse connector twist plug in it.

i jumped the inertia swith and the high flow pump turns on still no power to the forward tank pump i do have the selector valve and rear tank out could this be the problem?

The fuel pumps all run on the same power it has to be from the main pump back maybe a bad ground or tank switch or wire if the fuel guage works I believe the ground is shared with the pump and the sensor maybe try bypassing the fuel tank switch and see if you can get the pujmp working is there power to the tank switch

pnk/blk is power to the switch and red is power out for front tank pump and brwn/wht is for the rear pump.
