Can anyone out there tell me how to fix my problem? I have a 1988 Ranger that I replaced the clutch, master and slave cylinders , line and tranny , but now it wont go into first gear, goes into reverse but not very good. Help been working on this truck for 3 months. Parts are hard to find and expensive and I don't want to just give-up.

Sounds more simple, I did this with my first few clutches. Once I failed to tighten the pressure plate bolts fully, once I hada heater hose wedged between the tranny and block once I failed to bleed theclutch properly. All three causing the clutch to fail disengagement by about 1/8 inch. try pumping up the clutch pedal a few furious strokes prior to attempting shifting. If this works then it needs bled better.
