I have a 1988 Ranger 4x4 the front passenger side axle the U- joint went bad looks like its not replacable? Can you get a new axle and just replace it? where would you get one. I was thinking of calling the wrecking yards see if anyone has a good used one. I never had this issue before

they are, the clips that hold them in are on the inside of the yoke

Where can you get a new U-joint and how do you get it apart? The regular one's I can press out but these are differaint

the cheapest was would be to just pull the axle shaft out and replace the joint itself..just go to the auto parts store and tell them you need a front axle u joint. it prolly looks like it wont come out because of all the rust, but it will.

yeah, i am about to replace one of these in a D35 I'm building. mine is rusted all to hell too, i may just go to a pull a part and get what i need there instead of spending all that time trying to get it out.
