88 ranger 2.9 4.0 swap with pics

well after i found the vaccum line that controls the 2-3 shift the 3-4th wasnt that bad i went and got a auto harness and it plugged right in and shifted to all gears now i have to figure out the tcc lockup

may need to go with the later vb on the trans, but there are other options for lockup.




i sure as fawk would never swap out my first gen dash and wiring

Im swapping in a 4.0 from and automatic truck into 2.9 with with a 5 speed.I know I need everything under the hood but my concern is in the tranny area is there any thing I should be aware of? THANX!!

Just finished my daughter's swap on her truck. Did a 92 explorer 4.0 auto trans to an 88 2.9 ranger body. Wiring wasn't to bad but now i have problems with the computer getting hot and the truck dont want to run very good. just finished the paint job and now i am starting to work on the computer problems again. will let you know how it goes. will add pictures after i get them off my phone.
