Bellhousing pattern is all sorts of wrong. Trans gears are gonna make it run all sorts of funny. Length is wrong, it's a lot of work to make a small block trans fit a Ranger with a small block in it. It's just plain not worth it if you still have a cologne.

The Mazda M5OD-R1 used in Rangers is something I sometimes jokingly refer to as a 7/8-scale model
of the M5OD-R2 trans used in the F-Series.
And unless you are planning a V8 swap along with an F-series T-case it isn't much good to you.
