88 B2 to explorer tranny and trans swap

I have a 92 explorer 4x2 manual trans. Have installed D35 front ttb. I have 88 B2 manual w/ transfer. Will it interchange?

but it should work behind the 4.0 just use the 2.9 clutch, use the 4.0 auto starter.or the 2.9 manual and it should bolt right up
