OK.. I have a weird situation here.. My '88 ranger 2.9 5 speed 2wd died lastnight and we had to tow her to the house.. Here is what I found.. Fuel pumps are not working & the power wire going to the puel pumps is now acting as a ground.. It seems as the secondary fuel pump on the frame rail has malfunctioned in a way to where if I plug the pump in it is a dead ground on the power side (pink / black wire). But if I unplug the pump it is no longer a ground so it is a given that the pump needs replaced.. What my main concern is is when whatever happend with the pump happend it tripped something in the electrical that I can not seem to locate & I no longer have the required power in wire to run the fuel pump. I have checked the 3 relays under the hood and they are all clicking when the ignition is turned on. I also bypassed the inertia switch under the pass dash panel and that wasn't it.. I know there is the one 15a fuse in the fuse block on the driv side under the dash but that fuse is good.. What else could be causing me to not have power to the fuel pump wire? Any help leading me in the right direction is greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance, Joe
