do just unplug the distribitor to set the timing.how do u tell if it is durasoark ll.wich requires jumpers.
 
You have to unplug the spout connector located near the distributor.
 
Get it hot, unplug the connector that hangs from the plastic loom thing, set timing to 10BTDC at idle, lock down the dist, check timing to make sure it didn't move, plug the jumper back in.
Had baby squirrels cut off and remove my spout, didn't know it was missing until the oil pressure light would not come on at startup. Looked under the hood, and it was GONE completely. I did find some short bits of wire that I connected back together with crimp on spade terminals. Never seen that before. They also cut the oil pressure switch wire, but didn't eat it.
