I have been having trouble with my wipers returning to park when shut off. I replaced the wiper/washer switch which didn't solve the problem. I have purchased a new motor but find with my big hands it's almost impossible to reach in behind the plate opening to remove the clip on the motor. Anyone have any ideas or helpful instructions. I read the removal in Chilton's and it's pretty skimpy.

When I had ours out (twice now..grrrr) I found that we needed to remove the bolts that hold it in place and the wires. We then rotated and tilted it around enough to pry it slightly out to remove the attachment point. Yes it's a pain, as ours had a nut on it, and getting a wrench was darn near impossible without pulling/tilting it out at an angle.

Sometimes just walking away for a break and a cold drink can get your edge back and improve your perspective.

Totally agree...might take a few days more to do it...depending on your choice of cold drinks...

I am going to be doing this very same thing in a few days and not looking forward to the scratches, cramps, or frustration...but the cold drinks will come in real handy~:icon_pepsi::popcorn:

I found some instructions that says to remove the right wiper arm and the nut holding the shaft through the cowl letting the device drop into the space underneath. This doesn't make a lot of sense unless it allows the action connected to the motor to be shifted over to the opening under the plate. I also wonder how difficult it will be to get the right blade action back up through the hole.
