87 ranger control panel on headliner

Trying to remove the little control panel on the headliner it has the two reading lights and 4wd switches how does it come of push, pull, or just rip it off. getting kinda frustrated cant let this thing whip me!!!

there are two small slots at the back of the lamps, insert a small screwdriver in the slot and pry back there is a "Barb" that holds the lamp in

the lamp lens will swing down and come off.

Up inside the housing there willbe TWO phillips screws (one behind each lamp)
remove them.

the console will still not come down because it's held up with a spring clip

Place one hand on the back of the housing and strike that hand with your other hand (forward towards the windshield) it needs to go about an inch then it will dangle from the wires.
