I have a 87 Ranger with a 2 barrel Aisan carb. I am having issues with the float seat leaking. I can't seem to track down a cheap rebuild kit. Ford said, "Nope." the local vintage supplier for Ford said, "Nope." All the run of the mill national chains say, "Unavailable." I did find one parts place KOI that could get a kit special order for $120. However, if I am going to spend that much I am thinking different carburator. Since most of you on this site seem to be into modified trucks do you have sources or do you know of another carburator that will fit my intake manifold, or perhaps someone who makes an adapter where by I could put on a Holley or more common brand?

where are you located cause you can have the one I took off but you pay shipping.
I took it off cause the idle adjustment thingy on the front quit working and you can't buy that piece seperate. the rest of the carb worked fine.mine is the aisin 2barrel off of my 88 2.0 let me know. otherwise it is going bye bye.

I modified my truck for a weber and it made a big difference.

I would be glad to pay the shipping. I have a Pay Pal account or I can send you a check. My mailing address is 755 Loveland Miamiville Rd. Loveland, Ohio 45140. I would also be very intersted about what you did to modifiy yours for a Weber carburator. What Weber Carb did you use? Joe Newton jnewton1@fuse.net

I will ship it by mail flat rate so I will see what box will work then just send me back the amount by mail.
the thing on the front of the aisin carb controls the idle I think is a dashpot but I know it has a short in it and I couldn't fix it but if you can replace it with the one on your truck it should work fine

I used a 32/36 dgav and I cut the factory carbspacer to uncover the secondary butterfly then redrilled it and counter sunk some bolts into it also had to mod the base plate a little on the carb. I will put up some pics.
