I was just wondering if its possible to put a 1st gen 2wd ranger body on a 4x4 93 explorer frame, and if its possible how much fabrication would it be to get it to fit good?

btw the explorer is a 2dr and the ranger is a standard cab with longbed
parents want me to fix up one and sell the other :annoyed:

It could be done. You might want to think about a short bed though. I think the Ex frame is a bit short.

You shouldn't have to fab too much more than the body mount brackets. I know it's been done before.

this may be a stupid question but if I could get a hold of pieces of frame could I perhaps lengthen the frame to take the longbed?
I would like the bed space.
