I have an 87 b2 with an automatic and a 2.9l. And I have a 89 Ranger 2.9 automatic 2wd. Will the transmission swap with these? As in b2 trans into ranger?

Yes, but the transfer case or driveshaft is going to be an issue. 4WD transmissions do not accept driveshafts.

wait a minute isn't the 89 computer controlled lock up and 3/4 shift? and the 87 is hydraulic.
