Need some advice on a 2.9 litre fuel system.
Have spark, but won't fire. fuel pump will not come on. I can hot wire the pump and pressurize the fuel rail but still no ignition. I have traced all wires from pump thru the inertia switch and thru the relay on the firewall. Is there a sensor that won't allow the ECM to fire the injectors some place between the relays? any help would be appreciate

Do you not have any spark? If you don't have spark or fuel, this could be an indication of the computer not getting power. The computer controls the fuel pump. Could also be something with the TFI module. Verify if you have power to the computer, and if so, TFI is next place I would probably look. Computer has also known to go bad in VERY rare circumstances (likely not it though).

check your grounds i crappy ground on these 2.9 they wont fire

did you replace your fuel pump relay? and bypass your inertia switch? had the same problem my switch and relay were both bad

my 86 has a fuel shut off switch i dont know where that could be a problem i think it shuts down more than the fuelpumps

check the switch under the carpet up against the firewall in the passenger side footwell.

press the white plunger DOWN.
