My son bought a 87 bronco 2 not running. We can't get a spark

Changed

Distributor and module
Coil
Plug wires
Ecm
Ignition switch
Fuel pump relay

Inertia switch is bypassed
Pumps come on. Cranks
good. Power to the coil. No spark

Sounds like a possible ground problem. Check the grounds from the engine to the frame.

Also, verify if it’s a ground problem by grounding a removed spark plug to a body bolt. Just make sure you take steps not to get shocked. Like a rubber glove and make sure YOU aren’t grounded.

I pulled the coil wire and put a screw driver in it and grounded it. Nothing

Sounds like the new coil might be bad. Was it the same with the old coil?

Check connector to coil for overall condition and make sure it is getting power/ground too.

Yes both coils act the same

Coil wire. That's where I would go next.
