A4LD, 87-91 swap?

Two Problems I'm running into and would like to know if they are fixable or if I need to get a different transmission.
Problem 1: 87 has a hydraulic lockup 91 has all electric lockup.
Which leads to
Problem 2: The 87 tranny has a 2 prong electrical plug and the 91 has a three prong.
I've been told there is a fix but I'm having no luck finding out how to make this 91 compatible. The shop it's at said there is an adapter but my 87 computer isn't compatible.
PLEASE HELP. I love my truck but the wife is saying park it and get something else.

I have a 1988 bronco 2, and i was able to shove both a 86 tranny (which i toasted) and a tranny from a 1994 ranger in it. I had to get a tailhousing that had a hole in it to put the speedo and electronics in it.. Is your truck a 2 wire original or 3 wire? I thought 85-86 was a 2 wire. and a 87-89 was a 3 wire, but could be mistaken..

you have to swap valve bodys and the 2 pin connector, your stock computer cant control the 2 solanoid valve body.
