86 whistling noise at low low speeds

My Bronco 2 seems to have a low whistling noise at low speeds. When its not in gear ot in netrual there is no sound. So that should rule out belts and pullies I would think. I cant find a vacuum leak either. The sound seems to go away at higher speeds but that could be just higher speed noise drwning it out.

Also there seems to be what seems like air being let out the moment I turn off the bronco

Well it was a vacuum leak..missed a little house about 4 inches long. That connects a metal hose to a little nipple....my only problem is that I can't find that dang hose in town. The nipple is just passed the ICV. The hose is orange and what I believe 1/4 inner diameters but really flexable so not sure a normal a normal hose will work. Any idea where I can get it?

The metal hose connects to a part on the diver side in front by the radiator that looks like a box with 2 knobs on top(but not real knobs) but for the life of me I can't remember what that part is.

It had to be a vacuum leak. It sounds as you are describing the charcoal canister as to where the line is running. A parts store should have various sizes of vacuum hoses in the back. They should be able to fix you up with something that works. Go to a real parts store, NAPA or such if the Autozones can't help you.
