I am inquiring advice for installing a 5 sp manual transmission from a 1986 Ranger to a 1988. Any issues to be aware of?

the only difference i know of is that on the 86 bellhousing the slavecyclinder is in a different postion meaning that where the pressure linegoes into the slave is more towards the top and on the 88 it is straight into the line the reason i found this out is because my pressure line blew on my 86 and nobody but ford sells it and its 65 dollars the 88 is longer and can find it everywhere for 42 dollars i would just use the bellhousing and slave from the 88 with the 86 trans by unbolting the bellhousing and switching them out other then that its prettymuch the same tranny as far as i know
