Hey guys. Well, I am finally getting around to building my ranger. It is an 86 Ext cab 4x4. The 2.9 locked up, and I have decided to do the 4.0 swap. I have everything figured out that I wanna do, but have a couple of questions regarding lift choice and tire size. I have read every lift thread and googled tons, but cant find many first gen rangers with the lift I am looking at. I am wanting to get the Skyjacker 2" front lift coils with the AAL in the rear. Was wondering if anyone had any feedback on this lift. I also noticed that skyjacker recommends a 28" max tire with this lift. I feel like that is pretty small considering, and was hoping to run 31x10.5 or at least 30x9.5. Any input or pics would be great. Thanks!

You might have problems with your camber. 2 inches of lift will require the drop bracket. I have 30s on my stock 90. Ran 33s on my 86 with a 3 inch body lift and some trimming on the front fender. 31s might rub a bit but nothing to crazy

Thanks, for the info, I will look into the drop brackets. Just don't want the tires to rub terribly or look too small either, and I've been out of the ranger game for a while.
