To moch up my new one and mounted a tow hook for the mean time the other night.

Then tonight I pulled out the cut off wheel and sazall to start cutting up my tires so they work better in snow.
Started with sazall by sipping the outer lugs. 1 cut in small lug and 2 in big lugs.

Then took the grinder and started to notch out the gaps that have disappeared.

Then decided I needed some sipping in the middle lugs so out came the cutoff wheel again.

Just half the tire took about 30 minutes with experimenting different ways to cut them.

I had a cop tell me the other day I need some sort of a bumper to at least go between the frame rails and I'm digging the look of it with out a bumper so I took the cutoff wheel to the bumper and also got my other front tow hook mounted up finally today.

Some new pictures after trimming the bed behind the rear wheel. Also working on plans for a new rear bumper.

Bike mounts in the bed of my truck, working on a bed rail mount for the high lift and a smaller tool box. Right now I leave the tailgate down with bikes loaded.

Went and played in the snow the other day and figured out a new build plan for this thing. Mild but plenty for snow, doing a d35/8.8 5.13 gears lockers 35"mtr/k's DIY beadlocked 10" wide wheels OBA bumpers and a winch. Keeping it low but should be plenty for the snow. Also blew a bead while I was wheeling.

Pulled a long box extcab cummins dodge out earlier on this side hill.

Now to save money for the rebuild over summer!

That bike mount idea is genius! Mind if I steal it?

Go for it, I would recommend getting a piece of angle and cutting it to the inside width of the box and put the bolts threw that for it to give the tool box some strength, mine is bent to shit now from the bikes bouncing around in the bed.

Just an idea but you should swap a 44ttb in for added strenght in the wheel bearing area and just plain ol beef. All you have to do is extend the beams out 1" and its a direct bolt in and parts are cheaper

Just some food for thought

I would but a buddy of mine has a 9" and a 44 with wheels he is trying to sell me for 500 bones. Both are set for leafs and geared the same, not sure what gears but he said would be better then my 3.73s I have now. Most likely that is what I would do if I went fw. Also he has a buggy on 49's that he's trying to get into ttc with and a jeep on 42's that has a belly height of I think 20"

I wouldn't mind the ttb d44 though

downhill? shits fun have you ever been to ski bowl during the summer? truck looks good

No eh bike right now, pro xc though. If I can pull it off this summer I might get the new freeride rig from kona or the giant faith, we sell both brands at the shop I work at. Thanks the truck is a fun project.

Not much of an update but did get my hi lift mounted in the bed and pulled the toolbox out, it was always a mess and I could never find what I wanted, so all the small stuff is in the cab organized in 3 tool bags. Also put my old bike mount back in and it is nice and low finally.

It turned out really nice and should work well.

Finally getting my girlfriends dad to help me put together a new bumper. Going to use 2x2 1/4" angle for brackets welded to I think 2x5 1/4" wall rectangle tubing. Looking at different tow points now.

Not as wide as the ass of the truck but gets the job done.

I'm jealous of that tailgate...I want one of those for my truck. Right now, I've got the original Bushed Stainless "FORD" plate on mine.
