Anyways I got my Perkins home finally!
I happened upon a free 4 cyl turbo Perkins yesterday in great shape. I've always wanted a 4bt cummins but can't beat free.
I am having issues identifying what engine model though. Any help would be greatly appreciated!


Stamp on pass side front



Under the valve cover

The number covered by the line is a six. This is on driver side front

I undid the intake and exhaust manifolds and oil is leaking into the turbo and going throughout the engine. A turbo rebuild is in order. No biggie. 300 for a new compressor so the rebuild price shouldn't be bad. Hopefully! I'm going to scrub the block and accessories and prep it for paint. Going with a white block and blue accessories. And since the trans is sitting there I'll do it blue. Hopefully the car pump and injectors are still good. Still not bad for a free engine!
